This 19th century antique tray is ebonised and has the most glorious design detailing some oriental characters and mythical imagery illustrated.
Beautifully decorated with male and female personages in traditional costume. Set in a lakeside garden with flowering trees and plants. The central characters are viewing an artwork of a bird, in the distance is Mount Fuji with trees on the shoreline.
A lovely decorative and useful piece that would also look fabulous as a wall decoration. Wear is in keeping with age in places but a very unusual and highly decorative design.
Dimensions: diameter 36.5cm. Plain ebonised reverse in good antique condition.
