This heavy twin handled vessel is believed to be late 19thC/early 20thC from the Georgen Pottery based in the Ver sur Mer region of Brittany. Designed to hold locally produced wine or spirit, this is a lovely example of the earlier stoneware pieces produced for home market use and export.
Dimensions: height 20cm, diameter at rim 9.5cm. Maker's mark on base. One side of vessel only embellished. Some wear to base - see images which form part of description.
