A pair of ceramic pug, believed to be Victoria Carlsbad (Schmidt & Co.), Austria. Showing bags of attitude, this would make a fun addition to a mantlepiece and is a must for any pug fan - the perfect gift! It is understood that similar ceramic pugs were owned by film star Zsa Zsa Gabor.
Dimensions: standing pug: height 17cm, length 18cm, width at widest point (front feet 9.5cm). Sitting pug: height 16.5cm, length 18cm, width at widest point (hind feet seated 9cm). Good colour and glaze - no chips. Some wear to face consistent with age - early 20th century.
