This pretty pair of lilac decorated transfer ware dish and plate are fluted and edged in a warm gold. The drainer dish or colander element stands on three little feet to allow drainage to the matching plate below which has a lovely scalloped rim. A beautiful soap dish for a pretty bathroom.
Dimensions: drainer bowl: 18.5cm diameter, plate 21.5cm diameter. Stamped and printed maker's name on base. Glaze crazed with age which does not spoil the overall effect. Maker Franz Anton Mehlem, Germany.
